ABOUT ME
Hi, I'm Margaux

WHERE I COME FROM
I have lived and worked in Capitola for the last 15 years. I obtained my B.S. degree in Nutritional Science from San Jose State University, all while supporting myself by working at Margaritaville Capitola and Stockton Bridge Grille. So many amazing memories have been made during these times, including marrying my Husband at Monarch Cove, buying our first home here on Plum St. and starting my own business Keiser Nutrition & Fitness.

A THRIVING CAREER
While continuing my education, I began to involve myself in the fitness industry by teaching kickboxing and circuit training. Which lead to my Personal Training Certification through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM). I now run my own Personal Training & Nutritional Counseling Business and have helped many local clients reach and sustain healthy lifestyle goals.
G I V I N G B A C K
Throughout the COVID19 Pandemic I have been hosting weekly donation workouts via Zoom. No one is turned away for lack of funds, and whatever proceeds donated, go right back into our community whether its a small business, black owned business, or important societal and community based non-profit.

Along with the donation workouts I have organized multiple beach/village trash clean ups during the shelter in place. Our city budget was effected greatly by the shut downs, which meant halting the use of the non profit that helped us with litter maintenance throughout he week. I wanted to ensure our beautiful beach community would remain just that.
Equality, Opportunity, Community
I, Margaux Keiser have decided that I want to represent YOU on Capitola’s City Council. With many recent community shifts happening in regards to the COVID19 pandemic, I have found that there is no better time than now to stand up and represent for the Capitola residents. As a twelve year resident myself, and small business owner, my heart and soul belong to this town and I would want nothing more than to be the voice of the people.
We have watched this tumultuous time of a pandemic wreak havoc on our town’s local businesses, employees, and tourism revenue among many other things. I want to allow hard working people to continue to have a place here in our town even in the wake of hard times. There is room for those here that can benefit our community and society.
While yes, business is important, I also feel that protecting our quaint “Capitola By The Sea” is also just that. There needs to be a balance of environment, community, safety, and business in order for everything to thrive here. I personally feel that going through a quarantine time over the last few months has solidified how important our close surroundings are, and we need to fight for them.
Please consider me for your vote and/or financial contribution as the newest member of Capitola City Council!
I look forward to working for you,
Margaux M Keiser
